President - Dr. Mark J. Uhler, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University, in 1992 with a Clinical Excellence Citation from The Eye Institute. In addition to working in both private optometric and ophthalmological practices, he  leases two Walmart Vision Centers, Pittsburgh Store #2300, Carnegie Store #5040, and a third location at Sam’s Club Optical #6575 for the past 17 years. A 2005 Walmart Doctor of the Year, Dr. Uhler has served on the Walmart Advisory Panel for the past six years. Dr. Uhler has also served on The Pennsylvania Optometric Association: The Corporate Affiliated Task Force and The Professional Communications Committees.  Currently, he has been appointed as a Director on the board for The Western PA Optometric Association.  In his spare time he enjoys traveling, bike riding, and gardening.

 

Treasurer - Dr. Eric Botts grew up in Manly, IL. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1988, he attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Botts has been a long standing member of the Walmart and Sam's Club optical community starting his first practice in the Macomb, IL Walmart Vision Center in 1992.  Since then, he has opened an additional office in Galesburg, IA in 2006 and then a third location in 2009 in West Burlington, IL.  Dr. Botts has lived in Macomb since 1992 with his wife, Lori, and has enjoyed raising three beautiful daughters, Meghan, Hayley and Carly. 

 

Secretary - Dr. Jennifer Geertz is the owner and clinical director of Geertz Eye Care, practicing inside the Hodgkins and Batavia Walmart Vision Centers in Northern Illinois.  She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 1998.  After working in St. Louis for the first few years following school, she moved back to her home state and shortly after became a lease holding doctor inside her first Walmart Vision Center in 2001.  She contracted for her second location in 2005 and third in 2007.  Dr. Geertz  was awarded the Walmart Stores Doctor of the Year in 2005 and is a standing member of the Doctor Advisory Panel since 2005. She currently resides in the Chicago suburbs with her husband Dave and Dalmatian Luci and Olde English Bulldog Diesel and Quarter Horse Scotch.  She can be contacted at stores 1892 and 5352.  

 

Dr. John Stewart is a 1993 graduate of ICO and has been a Walmart affiliated optometrist since 1994.  He has been awarded the Optometric Reognition Award by the A.O.A. for 2013 and was named Walmart’s Optometrist of the year for 2012 for the East Business Division. He is joined in his practice by his wife Stacey who is the practice office manager.

 

Dr. Jonathan Noble is a graduate and Class President of the Southern College of Optometry.  Dr. Noble was awarded the prestigious Health Professions Scholarship through the United States Navy. He completed his internship at the Vitreo-Retinal Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, Dr. Noble served as a United States Naval Officer and Hospital Credentialed Optometrist at the Naval Hospital Cherry Point, North Carolina. Dr. Noble practices family eye care in Ashland, Virginia within a Walmart and

Dr. Noble was appointed by Governor Kaine to the Virginia Board of Optometry in 2008 and is currently serving his second term. He is currently President of the Virginia Board of Optometry. In 2010 he was appointed by Govenor McDonnell to serve on the Virginia Board of Health Professions and later appointed to President of the Virginia Board of Health Professions.  He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and the Richmond Optometric Society.

Dr. Randy Grovery received his Bachelor's degree from Colby College and went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry.He served in the U.S. Army as a clinical optometrist at the 29th Medical Detachment in Baumholder, Germany from 1994 to 1998. Currently he has been practicing at Hialeah Eye and Vision Care inside a Walmart Vision Center in Miami, Florida for the past 8 years. He is active in his community as a member of his local Lions Club International chapter. He also is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Miami-Dade Optometric Physicians Association where he serves on the Board of Trustees.

 


Dr. Ahmad has been practicing for over 22 years total and the last 14 in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Montreal, Canada and earned her Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada before moving to the United States. Dr. Ahmad has been a presenter at SECO, AOA National Meeting and at the GOA annual meeting.  In 2004 she was awarded Walmart’s National Optometrist of the Year and has been the optometrist of her region for 3 separate years. She has also been a lecturer for Alcon and has been on the advisory panel for The OBA and on the editorial panel for Women of Optometry.  She has been an Independent Doctor of Optometry with Walmart for over 12 years.

 

Dr. Dmitry Gutkovich has been an optometrist in Islandia, NY since 2005. He holds his optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in New York and a Master's of Business Administration from CUNY Baruch College/Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He has been a member of the Walmart advisory panel since 2008 and is a KOL for Bausch & Lomb. Dr. Gutkovich is on the Industry Relations panel for Energeyes.

 

Dr. Walker has been in practice for over 30 years.  During that time he has divided his focus between patient care, clinical research and education.  He was the Minnesota Optometrist of the Year and served on its Board of Optometry for 2 terms.  He holds 3 patents on contact lenses and IOL’s, publishes and lectures extensively, has conducted over 110 clinical research projects, currently owns and/or manages 11 offices affiliated with Pearle Vision or LensCrafters and has his Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.  He continues to focus on developing new optometrists through his work as an adjunct faculty for the Arizona College of Optometry through it externship program.  In what little spare time he has he is a songwriter and musician affiliated with ASCAP.   

 

Dr. Toseef Hasan is a native of the western Chicago suburbs and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago.  After graduating from Illinois College Optometry in 2003, he settled where he grew up.  He is the president of Toseef Hasan and Associates.  He leases two offices and employees three doctors. One of his offices, store #5442, is located in Addison  and the other, store #1848, Glen Ellyn.  He was awarded district “Doctor of the Year” in 2007.  Dr. Hasan has been a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric association since he graduated and is currently a Bausch and Lomb optometric liaison.  In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, modifying his cars and following his favorite TV series “The Walking Dead”.     

Dr. John William "Bill" Baldwin grew up in Avondale Estates, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia State University and Southern College of Optometry. He later received a Masters Degree from Central Michigan University. He served  two years as a staff doctor at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. His Wal-Mart Practice is  in Griffin, Georgia (Store 932) and where he now lives with his wife Lou.He is an Member of the American Optometric Association and was named Walmart Optometrist of the Year in 2006.  He has two boys and one grandchild.     

 

 

Dr. Maurice Wilson was born and raised in San Diego, California.  He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his Optometry degree from The University of Houston.  Dr. Wilson went on to be Clinical Director of 3 cataract and refractive surgery practices until 2001.  After leaving ophthalmology, Dr. Wilson signed on as a leaseholder with Wal-Mart in Conroe, Texas in 2001 and subsequently held 4 additional Wal-Mart leases.  Since 2007, he has been only leasing his main Conroe location to further develop his educational speaking opportunities. In 2002, Dr. Wilson started performing clinical trials for CibaVision and in 2003 became member of its Speakers Bureau. In 2005 he was invited to join the Speakers Alliance for Alcon.  In 2009, he became founding member of the Professional Developments Consultants for CibaVision (now Alcon). During his off hours Dr. Wilson is a competitive cyclist on and off road and enjoys a good motorcycle ride for fun as often as possible.
